Training Packages
A few things to take note of:
- We do pick-ups and drop-offs on all of our lessons
- Please give 24 hours notice on lesson cancellation
- Lessons are not transferable
- All fees are due on the first lesson
- We charge GST on lessons and tutoring

Advanced Driver Training (Coming Soon)
Crossroads Driver Training will soon be offering Advanced Driver Training. Training will be taught by both retired and current Law Enforcement Officers. Training courses follow standards set out by Law Enforcement Agencies. All participants must hold a valid Class 5 or higher drivers license in the full stage to be eligible to take the course.
The Advanced Driver Training is approximately 4 hours in length and divided into the following:
- 1 hour in-class session covering the course outline
- 3 hours in-car training with an instructor
In-Car Training
- Driving and reversing through serpentines at higher speeds
- Lane changes
- Vehicle control on icy/snow packed road
- Collision avoidance
- Braking
- Negotiating left and right curves
- Backing

We use a magnetic writing board to help clarify certain driving techniques or Rules of the Road. |
We use our laptop computer to demonstrate driving techniques via high quality video and even connecting directly to the Internet. |
All of our training vehicles are equipped with a dual brake. |
Our instructors make use of quality plastic pylons for Parallel Parking Instruction that are easy to see. |
To compliment our excellent instructors and second to none fleet of Training Vehicles, we also offer the following training aids to help you learn how to drive more quickly and more safely.
Otto-Driving Companion™
An added advantage for our customers is the Otto-Driving Companion™. This road safety device incorporates a trip data logging functionality called OttoLog™.
Otto captures the signals transmitted by the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites and measures the speed of the vehicle. This measurement, made once per second, is very accurate, up to 0.7 km/hr accuracy. Once Otto knows your speed, it compares it with the speed on the road segment that you are traveling on. Otto has a built-in map containing the speed limits on the roads in Winnipeg.
During your driver training lesson, the date, time, location, speed of the vehicle, and posted speed limits are stored on the device for later retrieval. We log all of our driving lessons and at the end of each lesson we can print off reports detailing:
- Aggressive Acceleration Behaviours (if any)
- Speeding Exceptions
- Brief Trip Summary or a Detailed Trip Report
