Driver Training has purchased a skid platform which now allows the training
of private and commercial customers in skid avoidance.
Our skid avoidance training course includes the following:1 hr in-class training which includes:
vehicle dynamics
weight transfer to assist in gaining traction
learning sight lines
training conducted in summer and winter
45 mins per student behind the wheel of the skid car
front wheel skids
rear wheel skids
right/left lane change
serpentine

180 degree curve
loss of control
Commercial Participants
We allow commercial participants to drive their company vehicles
through the course maneuvers to assess handling capabilities
All training is conducted on an abandoned runway at St. Andrews Airport.
Maximum vehicle speed is about 30 kph on dry pavement. This type of training
was only available to law enforcement until now. There are only about
6 skid cars Canada, 4 being owned by Police Departments. If you want to
